Lindsay Lohan - Asking Friends for Drugs in Rehab

the star is reporting on lindsay lohan and her progress in rehab. the promises rehab facility has allegedly allowed lilo to bring in her blackberry and text her friends! wtf! and of course she has been asking them for pills! she's having a hard time sleeping and needs sleeping pills. star reports:

Since detox, food still has not been a priority, but Lindsay reportedly is drinking lots of coffee, sweetened with about 25 packs of Splenda.

Said a Star source: "It's typical for someone coming off cocaine, even alcohol, to load up on sweets. I've heard this can happen with almost any patient. Sugar gives you a high."

well no duh lilo can't sleep!!! promises is enabling her in ways that will substitute her addictions temporarily.

insiders are saying her first four days were spent in detox, cleaning her body of alcohol, cocaine, percocet, vicodin and probably anything else you can tranquilize a cow with. yet, promises, a treatment center, allows lilo go to an offsite gym (how does this make sense?) and go to addiction group meetings at another location. i am wondering what promises is really used for. a training camp to keep your drug use incognito?

with recent rumors of britney spears dating her drug counselor from promises, i can just imagine what lilo's getting away with.

Nerd Gives His Hands-On Review of iPhone

suprise suprise! it's a neat, fun phone but browsing the internet sucks. when i heard at&t had exclusive rights to sell the iphone, i immediately became uninterested. thanks to j. ello for confirming my doubt. i don't feel so bad anymore that everyone around me, in a matter of weeks, will have an iphone and i won't.

this j.ello guy sounds like he knows what a wireless cell phone user wants. he's just like me! needs the touch screen, physical qwerty keyboard, and somewhat tolerable internet speed. i like his summary at the end:

My conclusions are thus:

• The iPhone is one of the coolest pieces of geek tech to arrive on this planet this decade.
• It’s targeted toward wealthy iPod users who are both sick of both their phone and their current iPod, and have been saving up to replace both.
• It’s priced for professionals, but lacks the two most important things professionals need… speedy connectivity and a physical keyboard. Frankly, I’d be half tempted to keep my Treo and buy an iPhone purely for use as a UMPC, iPod, Photo Frame or Male Enhancement.

Google Street View Not So Creepy Anymore

google street view has added a field at the bottom of maps where you can report inappropriate images. to steve job's benzo, to thong-girl climbing out of a truck in san francisco, to the woman pissed off about the public's ability to zoom in on her cat - it was all juicy stuff.

now if anyone finds anything good and publishes it online - it will probably disappear before we can say "big brother". dammit!

Paris Going BACK to Jail! For 23 Days!!!

UPDATE 4: I guess I do care about what happens to Paris more than I thought. I think the whole world agrees. If you haven't checked out JJ's blog recently, you should. He always has juicy details most people wouldn't read in the paper. He recently wrote:

"Let me comment on this from a personal point of view. I have several celebrities, along with my own witnessing, that knows Paris Hilton was a frequent drug user. Her symptoms seem to resemble those of drug with draw. It wasn't abnormal to see Paris smoking weed, doing a line of cocaine, getting drunk, smoking cigarettes, popping pills, or what ever else you could think of...

...This is why I lost motivation for being a Hollywood publicist. Seeing the rich and beautiful, like Mary-Kate Olsen, collapse on a floor of a NYC club due to drug use, isn't full-filling. Instead it is depressing and extremely aggravating that I am in no power or control to help these people."

UPDATE 2: Judge Sauers is a cool guy. Paris now has to serve 40 days in jail.

8. Paris ordered to court by judge, Friday morning

9. Reports that Paris did not want to go to court - she offered to talk on the phone

10. Judge orders Paris to appear in person

11. Reports of a heated debate in court room about Paris' custody. Sheriff allegedly refused to send his deputies to pick up Paris, claims Judge does not have power over his decision.

12. Judge apparently does have control. Paris taken into custody and now at court

Britney Spears Allegedly Dating Her Drug Counselor from Promises!

MSNBC is reporting Britney Spears is dating John Sundahl, her drug counselor from rehab. If this is true, Britney has the worst taste in men. He probably thinks he's being logical when he handles Brit's apeshit antics and thinks he can "help" her. I'd rather go with the idea that he is a recovering addict too and tried showing Britney the way to recovery. Instead, Britney showed him what it's like to be an addict with an endless amount of money.

"A source tells the National Enquirer, “Britney and John ended up making out beside the pool - and Britney acted like she didn’t care who saw her. John’s smitten with Britney. I’ve never seen him act so ridiculous with a girl. He’s so in love with her that he’s risking his career just to keep her happy.”

I'm curious to see what this John guy looks like!

Paris Hilton Out of Jail

I have been tinkering with the idea of creating a blog collecting my favorite news stories for awhile now. I am finally making the jump to actually doing this!

I'm going to kick off my blog by crediting Jonathan Jaxson for enlightening all of us of the real reason why Paris Hilton was released from jail early Thursday morning!

This story makes me sick, but I must report it for all you fans. Paris was apparently suffering from severe panic attacks and depression, where she even became suicidal. Towards the end of her stay, Paris began, what others call, a nervous breakdown. Her psychiatrist was so concerned for her well being they did everything possible to get her to a place in which was comfortable for her and her health.
