an anonymous donor has pledged 150 million dollars to the cancer center at the university of california, san francisco. this is the largest known gift to a u.s. cancer center. there is no information about the donor, except that he is a bay area resident.
as a former employee of ucsf, this makes me very happy. there are a lot of great people there that genuinely work hard towards advancement and the well-being of people. i'm glad to see a large amount of money go to a great school and program.
